LUDI

In California, the regional Latin competitions are held in October or November of each year. JCL chapters in the Northern part of the state attend Ludi, where students take academic tests, participate in Olympic (e.g., swimming, volleyball) and non-Olympic sports (e.g., ultimate frisbee, chess), and attend seminars and workshops. There are competitions in creative arts and an Open Certamen in which students compete on teams mixed with students from the other schools in a quiz bowl contest on topics similar to the written tests.

Harker hosted Ludi Novembres in November 2005. The event ran very smoothly under the able direction of Harker's own Mike K, CJCL Northern Representative.
