CaJCL

The CaJCL, California Junior Classical League, was founded in the mid-1950's and has held over fifty state conventions modeled on the NJCL Convention. There are active chapters all across the state and conventions are usually held alternately between Northern and Southern California. As of this writing the most recent state conventions were held in 2007 at the Menlo School in Atherton, in 2006 at Miramonte High School, and in 2005 at University High School in Irvine. The 2008 convention will be held at University High school in Irvine.

Every fall there are mini-conventions in both the south and the north. The Southern event is called SCRAM and the Northern one is called Ludi, either Ludi Octobres or Ludi Novembres. Students also attend the NJCL Convention over the summer.
